# 0349 Wardrobe there!

Could it be possible to have as part of the hotel service clothes for you to wear already there? I imagine something where you book the hotel on-line, and then you also 'book' clothes for you to wear. Using the same interface as on-line clothes shopping, you reserve clothes of brands you trust. When you arrive at your destination with nothing, but a small bag or backpack you are shown your room with your wardrobe already in the closet. Of course the same could be done with specific toiletry items. Even better with the nothing-private-anymore trend, you already have a 'profile' of what you wear and hotels just access that.

For some people (like me) how awesome is that to travel around to multiple places on multiple vehicles carrying nothing but a wallet?!

A few considerations:
- Maybe people like to believe they are the only ones in the world with their clothes and this breaks that paradigm.
- Some people are obviously more picky than others.
- What do you do for stains or risks to the clothes?
- People are fine using spa bathrobes, so maybe this isn't such a stretch, but being okay with wearing someone else's underwear might be too far.
- How could airlines fit in since they will benefit most from people not bringing luggage? Could they have "luggage on arrival" fares that include nothing but a small carry on?
- If there is a unique item you want to wear you can just bring that item.

#7483 Broadcast Café

This café is wired. There are cameras and microphones everywhere. What goes on inside is constantly broadcast in real-time on the café's website. There is a bold disclaimer on the front door telling everyone who enters that their conversation and image will be viewable by anyone accessing the site. It is open from 6am to 2am the next morning to maximize global viewing time, without becoming too seedy. It is located in New York or LA or maybe both. Another option: At the same time, monitors in the cafe show analytics in real time of how many people are on the website and where they are located. Maybe it even shows how many people are watching each camera and listening to each microphone. Perhaps people on-line could post chats and be active participants as well. Would no one want to go to a café where their privacy is completely nil? Would no one want to sit at their computer and watch people living instead of doing it themselves? Or do people have an inner desire to be seen, especi...

#8799 Shot-gun microphone for Q&A sessions

Have you ever been in a speech or something where the speaker fields questions from the audience? If you weren't in a UN-style microphone-at-every-seat equipped room, then you probably saw one or two saps running the microphone around to those asking questions. I was this sap recently in a press conference, and although I consider myself quite agile, it still delayed things and was noisy for the cameras (not to mention my beautimous profile when I had to run in front of them). I've also heard people bragging about shot-gun mics that can pick up someone's voice leagues away. Couldn't these work in this situation, where the sap can just stand at the front with headphones on and point the mic at whoever is talking? Maybe it wouldn't work so well in a football stadium, but surely a 20-person press conference could manage. Right?

#9785 Forest garden scheme

Forest garden, agroforestry, intercropping, companion planting, forest farming, permaculture, edible forest gardens, silvopasture (I'm sure this list goes on and on) are all ways of using your farmland for more than one product. I like this idea for a few reasons. It creates more diverse products which should reduce the amount of travel for each one. It's more humane to animals than being raised in a small space. It apparently creates more stuff then each product alone (synergistic). There's apparently 10 times as much sun coming down at midday as any plant needs. But it requires a lot of skill and basically in this era of specialization, you gotta know everything there is to know about corn/cows/whatever to complete.  So here's my scheme. It's a little bit like a shopping mall. I buy a bunch of land. I put a fence around most of it. I then make lots on the edges. I lease the edge lots to different farmers with know-how. The farmers come plant, main...
